Session 4

Today we decided on a few things:
Genre:
Target Gender: gender neutral, a little tendacious to female
Target Group age: 14-16

It's a series of minigames, which appeal to both genders and specificaly to our desired age group. Fun and homoristic story and characters encourage the users to play the game. To keep the users interested in the game, new minigames/bonuslevels will released.

Usual flash games are normally not longer than a few minutes. So our main aim is to prolong the playing experience, by letting the player save his progression. This allows him to go on playing and not having to start all over again.

A proffessional would say: It's a real time multilevel Flash game, based on principle of gradually evolving avatares. Content based learning through Quiz games, feeding, defeating enemies improve virtual capalities as well as providing useful knowledge to the player.

New try:
EA guy: Hey, I heard about your project. What's ur new game about?
A proffessional who nows k.i.s.s. would say: It's a virtual world where one has to fight against the own eating habits. With trashy characters who give direct feedback to the players decisions in different situations, such as quiz games, food search, defeating enemies...t.b.c.


What does the player control?
The player controls an avatar who he can choose and adjust to fullfil his needs.

On Packaging:
Matoja boy: Wasabi - trash your health.
Matoja girl: Wasabi - f*** tha fast food industry
Matoja girl 2: Wasabi - mir fallt nix ein.

Session 2

Wasabi - Hot action

We decided upon a 2D flash game.

Genre Of Game:
2D Arcade/Quiz/Puzzle Game

Platform:
As it is a flashgame there is a large variety of platforms. Wasabi is an internetgame which can be played on PC/Mac/PS3/Handheld...t.b.c.


Target Group:
16+ m/f




Player should get aware of food, eating habits, nutrients and the fast food industry. But the main aim is to entertain and to have fun not to educate.

Storyline:

A future scenario:

The main character has been cryonized and reanimated in the far future.There has been a defect in his cryocontainer. The avatar wakes up in the cryostorage room. He finds himself surounded by a several cryocontainer.

He walks down a long alley and notices, that each year a person has been cryonized. Suddenly a strange feeling arises in him. There something funny going on in this institution. What could it possible be? He gaze wanders to one of the cryotainers. His suspicion was right. The person in the container is not human or at least only partially human. Instead of arms two blue fins grow out of the person’s torso. In the next years cryo chamber there’s an even stranger creature. It’s a person with two yellow buns in the place where normally on would expect his ears. Yellow sauce with small spice particles slowly trickles out of his nose. The main character shivers in disgust.

Overwhelmed with fear he speeds down the alley. He notices that over the years the people turned into food little by little. Finally he finds a door which leads to some kind of control centre. In this monitor covered room he finds a booklet on the table. It's been

...December, 2085 First person cryoniezed. The changes in DNA have been isolated. No solution found jet.

...January, 2087

...January, 2189 DNA defect finally analysed. But too late. Can't talk anymore, I‘ve got a beak now. Maybe someone will find my work.

The avatar takes the book and leaves the building. He starts to wonder around. Directly beside the steps of the cryobuilding an enormous pile of garbage.

Finding Company Name

We thought that our name should be international, modern, with connotation and appealing. We decided to start simple and took the first two letters of the founders names. With these letters we tried to combine them to fullfill our expectations.

The first attempts were Jamato and Tojama. The first was allready taken by a japanese drummer group (Yamato) and reminded too much of a motorcycle manufacturer.

We also tried a second version of Tojama -> Toyama but this was just obiviously ambiguous (Toy - ama). In the End we were quite satisfied to find a name which suited our needs:
